Another classic brasserie in Paris

This worn, century-old restaurant is the place to come for French comfort food at reasonable prices.

The welcoming waiters cheerfully dish up such hearty grub as steak au poivre (pepper steak), sauerkraut and ham, and fried calves' liver.

It's no wonder Sartre, Camus, and James Thurber kept coming back for more.
